Playmates 1988 – Turtle Blimp

Ben Loom kindly sent in the top three images of the UK release (note the “Hero” Turtles logo on the front of the box – yet the blimp itself has “Ninja” printed on it).
The bottom image was taken from Playmates Toys’ 1988 catalog – we don’t have one on hand, so unfortunately we don’t know if its a North American variation from the one released in the UK or a prototype (prototype is much more likely given the expense it would have taken to manufacture two different balloons and the fact that the UK blimp is labeled “ninja” – but ya never know).
