Meltdown Comics on LAs famed Sunset Boulevard is <\/strong>known as the Largest Comic Book Store on the west coast and boasts a whopping 9,000 square feet of Books, Toys, Statues, and Collectibles. By the end of Friday it will also boast a huge mural covering the entire back facade \u2013 a recreation of the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) cover. The mural will painted by Kevin & Mark Bode \u2013 also a long time TMNT artist and famed street painter. Other street painters will join the action over the course of two days – Thursday November 17 and Friday November 18.<\/p>\n

Break out your cameras and plan to watch the stunning mural unfold as the guys scramble over the building to create their masterpiece.\u00a0 The mural painting is a teaser for a month long gallery exhibit and multi media events entitled \u201cLost Angeles Thirty Five Years with Kevin Eastman\u201d: November 30 \u2013 January 4, 2012 (see example sketch on left).<\/p>\n

For Thirty Five Days KEVIN EASTMAN takes over MELTDOWN COMICS\u00a0NEW<\/span>\u00a0GALLERY exhibition space where he curates FIVE DIFFERENT SHOWS of some of his most exciting past, present, and future creations and collaborations!<\/p>\n

Located at 7522 West Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, the Meltdown Comics Gallery will be open daily for all visitors, will feature special events at least twice weekly, including an ALL NEW ART EXHIBIT opening every\u00a0NEW COMIC DAY WEDNESDAY from 6:00 TO 10:00!<\/em><\/p>\n

Over the five week celebration, fans NEW and OLD will get the chance to come hang out with Kevin, check out the latest show, discuss projects, concepts, and future plans for everything he\u2019s working on from the new IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle comic series to the 2012 35th<\/sup>\u00a0BIRTHDAY OF HEAVY METAL MAGAZINE!<\/p>\n
