Greetings Cyberfriend!
The Holiday Season is upon us once again! As usual at this time of year, the time flies by too quickly to ever make enough preparations for everything. For the past few years I’ve been making presents for everyone, trying to come up with a unique item for each member of my family. It’s a fun way to spend time in my laboratory, but it’s always difficult to decide what to make for Raph… what do you give the guy who hates everything? :)
I’ve actually gotten to spend a lot more time working on my inventions lately, which is good as I’ve needed the time to make all of the gifts!
Of course, over the past few months we’ve had a few run-ins with Shredder and the Foot, which is never a surprise. I think ol’ Shred-Head has finally figured out that Raph isn’t going to join him, so he’s gone back to his typical tactics. The Foot Clan’s illegal activities have risen to their old heights, so we’ve been busy trying to do what we can to make the streets (and sewers) safer. Raph and Leo spend much of their time on patrols. Casey has gone out with Raph several times and seems to be feeling like his old self once again. Poor Casey has had it rough for the past 5 years or so, but he seems to be over the hump and feeling much better. April has been busy writing her novel, but she still does some freelance reporting here and there. We only see her about once a month these days (except for Venus, who goes out of her way to spend time with ol’ Carrot Top). I’d like to see April more often, but there’s just never any time. Between working in my lab and doing my patrol duty, I just can’t seem to find the time to hang out with my friends. April makes a point of coming down and cooking dinner for us about every 3 weeks (she still worries about our health due to our rather limited diet :) She and Venus have been making some really great dinners, mixing and matching recipes from the East and West. I really look forward to those meals! Yum!
Casey, Shadow and April are going to spend Christmas with us this year, which should be really nice. Master Splinter says that he’s going to make his secret recipe cake, so we’re anxiously awaiting that, as he’s never made mention of it before. Should be interesting (and hopefully tasty! :)
Well, that’s about it from here. I’m afraid that I’ve gotta get back to work in my lab… there isn’t much time left! I hope you have a wonderful Holiday and a terrific New Year! All of our systems are Y2K compliant… I hope yours are as well!
